I recently used this lesson plan in my classroom and observed that the students showed significant improvement, especially in their understanding of the differences between autotrophic and heterotrophic organisms. They were actively engaged during the group activities and demonstrated enhanced critical thinking skills when categorizing organisms by their feeding habits. I believe the lesson could be even more effective with a slight revision. The presentation section could be shortened a bit to allow more time for students to reflect and discuss their findings in groups. Additionally, including more interactive elements, such as quick quizzes during the class, might help reinforce the key concepts. Thank you for this wonderful resource!
